Welcome to Sterling Shores – Penthouse #16!

This unit is on the top floor of Sterling Shores Resort, an 11 story, resort style gated condo facility. This unit is part of Sterling Shores rental program which means you receive all of the services the resort provides. There is daily front desk service, so someone is available to answer your questions that might come up. The resort offers a beach side snack shack during summer months, and a large workout facility. There is private beach access and beach chair service of 2 chairs and an umbrella is included during the summer months. Also available are kayak and paddle board rentals. Sterling Shores two pools (one of which is heated), a mushroom fountain and tot area, in-unit Jacuzzi tubs, and gas grills are available for your use. Wifi is included in the unit.

The master bedroom contains a king size bed with new mattress and bedding. It has a large private master bathroom with a jetted jacuzzi tub/shower combination.

The guest bedroom has a lofted twin bed, above a full size bed, also with a new mattress and bedding. It is attached to the main full bathroom. Both bedrooms have flat screen TV’s.

There is a full size washer/dryer in the hallway closet. The living room has a queen size sofa sleeper, as well as a large TV, with HD cable and DVD player. There is a large balcony on the unit with table, chairs and a couch lounger. The unit is fully furnished, with all the kitchen supplies provided.

From the balcony, you can see beautiful gulf views and we often see dolphins. You can see the popular restaurant, The Back Porch, from the balcony, which is great for beach side dining and entertainment. Sterling Shores is also very short walking distance to many stores, restaurants, and activities including The Back Porch, The CandyMaker, Ruth’s Chris (great for happy hour), Jim & Nicks, Hooters, Joe’s Crab Shack, Beall’s, Wal-Mart, The Destin Track and Big Kahunas Water Park.

This is a great area for walking along the beach, whether you choose to walk for miles along the uninterrupted beach, or take a short walk down the beach to the undeveloped Henderson State Park. Sterling Shores is very centrally located in Destin. You can make a short drive or Uber ride to all the restaurants, bars and shops at HarborWalk Village. In the other direction, you have close access to the Crystal and Miramar Beach areas.

Posted rates INCLUDE Beach Service of two chairs and one umbrella each day from March 1 until November 29. Rates also INCLUDE Resort and Admin Fees. Cleaning Fee, Damage Waiver and Taxes are additional and calculated with the quote.

Cancellation: Cancellations outside of 30 days of the arrival date will receive a refund of the advance payment, less the $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will not be refunded the advance payment.

This condo was completely redecorated in 2016. All new decor, including new mattresses, even a new sofa bed.

This unit is on the 6th floor of The Islander, a 7 story, resort style gated condo facility. This unit is part of The Islander rental program which means you receive all of the services the resort provides. There is 24 hour front desk service during the summer months, so someone is always available to answer your questions that might come up. The building offers a coin operated laundry room for guests and a towel exchange. They also provide towels for beach use. There is private beach access and beach chair service of 2 chairs and an umbrella is also available during the summer months. Also available is kayak and paddle board rental. Wifi is included in the unit. The Islander also provides family entertainment during the summer, with face painting, balloon animals, a zoo show, and painting on the beach for children.

The Islander features 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, 4 tennis/pickle ball courts, and many grills your use under a pretty gazebo area. One of the pools is heated seasonally.

The master bedroom contains a king size bed with new mattress and bedding. It has a large private master bathroom with a tub/shower combination. Wake up to beautiful gulf views from the master.

The guest bedroom has a queen bed, also with a new mattress and bedding. It is across from a full bathroom. Both bedrooms have large closets, tv’s and blu-ray players. We have also included a Pack-n-Play for your little ones.

There is also a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room, as well as a new 40″ TV, with HD cable and blu-ray player. There is a large, 100 sq. ft. balcony to the unit with table, 4 chairs and a chaise lounger.

From the balcony, you can see beautiful gulf sunset views. Enjoy watching the boats go in and out of the harbor, through the pass and by the jetty. It is common to see dolphins in the afternoon, following the boats or playing with the paddle boarders and kayakers. See the Thursday night fireworks over the Harbor. Watch as the military out of Eglin AFB runs various training activities in the area.

This is a great area for walking along the beach, whether you choose to walk for miles along the uninterrupted beach , or go for a jog on the sidewalks along the beautiful beachfront properties of Holiday Isle. Walk or drive approximately a half mile to Norriego Point Beach and access the water taxi, which will take you on a few minutes’ ride across the harbor to the various restaurants, bars and shops at HarborWalk Village. A short walk in the other direction, will take you for morning coffee at local restaurants or evening musical entertainment at Bric a’ Brac. It is also a short uber or taxi ride to many of the popular nightlife areas.
